As we here at AOL Travel have reported, much attention has been paid to the location of the royal honeymoon over the past few months. On Saturday, Buckingham Palace announced that the newlyweds would postpone their honeymoon. Now comes a new rumor that the duo will head to the Seychelles for a 10-day trip.

The newlyweds are rumored to be spending their honeymoon in a 4,000-pound a night villa on one of "the most beautiful and romantic islands in the world," the Daily Mail reports.

Later this month, Prince William and Princess Catherine will fly by private jet and then travel by helicopter from the mainland to a private retreat, which the Daily Mail speculates is an exclusive island on the Seychelles.

According to the Daily Mail, two Scotland Yards officers checked the location to ensure its safety. The paper also claims Kate is not aware of the honeymoon destination.

The Seychelles are known for their beauty, as well as great snorkeling and diving, which is a favorite activity of the couples. (Back in March, Prince William commented to the Australian press that he loved scuba diving and had "always wanted to dive the Great Barrier Reef."

A Clarence House spokesman told the Daily Mail: "The couple have asked the media to respect the privacy of their honeymoon, therefore we can neither confirm nor deny speculation."
